Portugal again wins the World Travel Awards for Best European Destination for the third consecutive time totaling 39 Awards, the Algarve region also wins the Best Beach Destination Award, this is the sixth time that the Algarve has achieved this distinction - which took place in the editions of 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017 - and a record in awarding this award, since no other destination has reached this number of appointments!

The Algarve is again in the race for the "Best Beach Destination of Europe 2019", after having won this category of World Travel Awards five times.
